A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to inactive email addresses under the very same domain name. For instance, an email message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get emails from partners or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be sent to a third-party mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting
If you host a domain on our cloud platform and you have a cloud website hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any e-mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section comes with quite a few functions, but it is remarkably easy to use, so setting up a catch-all mailbox takes only a single click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be listed in this section alphabetically and you’ll only have to click on the "Catch-all" button associated with the specific address. Our system will alert you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or choose some other mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as simple and requires yet another click on the exact same button.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
The catch-all functionality can be activated easily if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you’ve created using the domain names hosted in your account will be displayed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will notice a mini logo handily located directly next to each of them. With just a mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your preference on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with the option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and activate this option through the menu that will appear. In case any of the conditions for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not answered, our system will warn you, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
